Biography

Born in Patras Greece in 1977. He studied sculpture and master in digital arts at Athens School of Fine Arts. Telis Sofianopoulos, is now living and working in Athens as a visual artist. He has participated in group exhibitions both in Greece and abroad. His work can be found in many private collections.

His work combines sculpture and painting with digital media. His very personal perception of reality and the use of a vast variety of materials, result in work characterized by a capturing originality. Artfully combined free and strict lines, the knowing manipulation of light and darkness, as well as the combination of natural and geometric shapes are prevalent in his work.

The main landscapes influencing him are two seemingly opposite environments, cities and nature, composing his work, filled with both concrete and abstract objects, the latter expressing the vagueness of worlds unknown to us, but still surrounding us.
